Fugro Geophysical service line provides geophysical surveys that maps out the ocean floor and underneath to provide geophysical data, utilizing sonar technologies to do. The geophysical surveys involve a series of techniques and algorithms applied to raw survey data to extract meaningful information about subsurface features. It includes steps such as data quality control, noise removal, filtering, and data enhancement. These processes aim to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio, improve resolution, and create interpretable images or models of the subsurface.


The Proposal Specialist is responsible for the preparation of tenders and proposals, and Business Development in specific regions, under the guidance and advice of the Commercial Manager.



Job Responsibilities



  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

  • Work with Department Manager in submission of proposals and pre-qualification documents to a professional standard.

  • Assist operations at project start-up in preparation of project budgets and cash flows.

  • Advise operations on specific aspects that need to be considered on projects.

  • Follow up with clients that have received proposals.

  • Maintain a database of cost information and compile proposals.

  • Initiate client contacts and maintain client database.

  • Maintain knowledge on new techniques / technologies through continuous professional development.

  • Provide information for Profit Plan.

  • Maintain tender files.

  • Assist Department Manager in sale of services and Business Development.

  • Identify potential technical, commercial, HSE risks for each tender.

  • Perform project risk analysis if potential risk is identified.




Job Requirements



  • Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Surveying, Marine Sciences, or Business required.

  • Have 3 or more years of experience in tender coordination, tender management, commercial management & or project management.

  • Have experience in professional writing or proposal writing.

  • Have 5 or more years of Survey industry experience preferred.

  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
