The Configuration Analyst will provide extensive customer-facing experience, serving as a configuration liaison to internal & external stakeholders. Some of the other duties include: Developing and maintaining configuration changes of company software applications based on business and customer requirements as well as planning and executing complex configuration tasks, defect mediation, and configuration testing within set deadlines. In addition, this role actively reviews and recommends changes to existing configuration processes and procedures to guarantee quality. The Configuration Analyst will work with their Configuration Manager to provide oversight to the configuration teams or similar resources within MHK’s Customer Care Organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Must have the ability to understand requirement objectives and facilitate requirements-gathering activities, including meeting with client/ internal stakeholders to discuss existing functionality and enhancements
Participates in reviewing technical specifications with all teams and clients, driving requirement translation into detailed technical specifications.
Manages multiple consulting projects of varying complexity and ensures on-time and on-budget delivery for clients.
Serves as a configuration subject matter expert and escalation point for configuration-related issues.
Conduct System Impact Analysis with the current and newly proposed state.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze information needs and documentation needed.
Review and assist in the approval process of requirements, design specifications, physical solution design, functional requirements, prototypes, and system testing.
Negotiation and cost-Benefit analysis insights and should have experience in the creation of reports and Dashboards.
Review operational workflows of a high degree of complexity for multiple departments, identifying problems and developing improvements, modifications, and enhancements.
Document issues resolutions and write specific requirements for system changes and troubleshooting issues to ensure issues as identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved promptly, including creating test scenarios, testing data, and understanding outcomes.
Mentors the organization on Configuration Management concepts, policies, and procedures
Prepare configuration documentation and maintenance
Assist with managing the day-to-day activities of the process, including establishing priorities and work assignments
Assists in the management & maintenance of the Configuration Management Tools
Conducts scheduled confirmation audit reviews and recommendations
Engages with release management to ensure that the Configuration team can successfully execute the new Configuration functionality per the Solution
Contributes to the product roadmap
Provides work effort estimates based on requirements

Education/Experience/Skills:
1-2 years of experience preferably with a software vendor or in the healthcare or healthcare insurance industry, is desired. Willing to train the right candidate
Software configuration or development experience preferred
Ideally, experienced with Pharmacy Management, Utilization Management, or CAG.
SQL experience is a plus. JIRA experience preferred
Experienced in resource capacity planning, budgeting, and multi-customer support
Ability to organize team members and prioritize across multiple complex projects
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but will accept equivalent experience.
