Zingermans Deli Sandwich Line Cook

Zingermans Deli Sandwich line is a world renowned kitchen, making full-flavored sandwiches with homemade ingredients for over 40 years. Our menu has won numerous Best Of awards and weve had the honor of serving many esteemed guests (President Obama, ESPNs GameDay crew, and Kelly Ripa to name a few). We are proud to include the finest ingredients in our sandwiches, and we work hard to serve our extensive customer base.

Zingermans Sandwich Line is a high volume kitchen that prides itself on its great energy. We make a lot of Sandwiches and we have a lot of fun doing it. Line cooks are responsible for preparing and cooking sandwiches to order, expediting orders in an accurate and timely fashion, and keeping stations clean and stocked. We slice our bread to order, we serve our meat hot and fresh, and care greatly about teamwork and communication, both within and outside of our department.

Our cooks typically work 8-9 hour shifts between the hours of 9am and 8pm, weekend availability is required.

Compensation:
Our starting wage is between $17-$20/hour including tips. Wages increase with successful tenure, training and demonstrated success in positions.

Success Patterns and personal characteristics:
1-2 years of cooking experience preferredHas a love and care for food and qualityCalm under pressureIs able to work independently and as part of a teamCompletes training passports within the expected timeframeArrives on time for all shifts, classes, and huddles

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50lbsCan be on your feet for an 8 hour shift
