The Growth Initiatives P&L leader will be a member of the Product leadership team, reporting to the Head of Individual Retirement Strategies Product. You will be accountable for delivering profitable growth of the business through the ongoing management of the Growth Product portfolio. You will drive alignment across the business system to ensure the success of the overall Growth Initiatives product strategy. Additionally, you will be expected cultivate a culture and approach where everyone feels ownership for the success of the business.

The Growth Initiatives P&L leader is responsible for leading the team to include all aspects of portfolio management for the Growth Initiatives, including product strategy, innovation backlog prioritization, product roadmap, and proactive P&L management.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:


  • Developing and actively leading the Growth Initiatives product strategy, informed by emerging business results, market insights, and changes to the economic and regulatory environments

  • Partnering with Future Growth Initiatives distribution to ensure alignment of the distribution and product strategies

  • Supporting the cultivation and prioritization of the Growth Initiatives backlog / pipeline

  • Engaging in market as a critical member of the Future Growth Deal team, co-creating with clients to expand solutions that deliver retirement income in brand-new ways

  • Partnering with the Individual Retirement Strategies Product Development team to evaluate the viability of prioritized innovation initiatives to define the Growth Initiatives product roadmap

  • Demonstrating the empowered business model to execute upon the Growth Initiatives product roadmap through the Product Development, Product Support, and Product Implementation teams

  • Collaborating across the business system to manage all aspects of the P&L, proactively managing the economics of new and inforce business to maximize value generation and manage risk

  • Owning lifecycle management of Growth product portfolio, performing regular analysis of product performance

What you’ll need:


  • Experienced leader in the Financial Services industry with deep knowledge of and direct experience with retail and institutional annuities.

  • Successful business and financial competence.

  • Clear interpersonal skills, team orientation, and the desire and ability to work with business partners across the organization.

  • A focused problem-solver who exhibits sound business judgement.

  • Adept at navigating ambiguous situations, demonstrating resilience, and operating in the "grey."

The salary range for this role is from $180,600.00 to $244,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
