(Morgan) is seeking nominations, inquiries and applications for the
Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information
Officer (VPIT/CIO). The next VPIT/CIO will provide strategic
direction and leadership in developing, implementing, and managing
the university's information technology systems, services, and
digital strategies.
Morgan serves more than 9,800 students on a 185-acre campus located
in a charming residential area of northeast Baltimore.
Morgan is Maryland's preeminent public urban research university,
with ahigh research (R2)Carnegie-classification. Among the nation's
most diverse Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Morgan
seeks to ensure that the doors of higher education are opened as
wide as possible to as many as possible.
Morgan State University seeks a dynamic leader to transform the
Division of Information Technology which is responsible for
directing the development, execution, and provision of IT services
crucial to realizing the university's strategic objectives. The
VPIT/CIO is a cabinet level, senior executive position that reports
to the Executive Vice President for Finance and
Administration.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, innovative, and
energetic leader with the vision, skills, and integrity required to
guide Morgan State University to higher levels of achievement. It
is anticipated that the VPIT/CIO will assume office in July 2024.
