We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of E-Commerce to lead our digital retail operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in E-Commerce, particularly with Shopify, and a proven track record of delivering outstanding performance, compliance, and user experiences. As the Director of E-Commerce, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our online retail presence and ensuring its continuous improvement. This position will report to our SVP of Ecommerce and is based out of our New York City Midtown office on a hybrid in-office schedule.
Responsibilities:
Digital E-Commerce Leadership: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital E-Commerce operations, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with Shopify.
Performance and Compliance: Oversee and drive performance and compliance responsibilities, including maintaining high uptime, optimizing site speed, conducting heatmap analysis, site tracking, and ensuring ADA compliance.
Testing and Optimization: Take charge of A/B and Multi-Variate testing setup and execution to continuously improve the E-Commerce platform, enhance user experiences, and boost conversions.
Backend Operations: Provide oversight of backend file migration and warehouse operations to maintain efficient data and product flow within the E-Commerce ecosystem.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and UI/UX: Manage UAT processes, as well as the versioning and iteration of UI/UX elements, to create exceptional customer experiences.
Skills & Requirements:
Product Catalog Management: Possess deep experience and understanding of migrating, maintaining, and updating product catalogs and related assets to ensure up-to-date product information.
Mobile Apps: Demonstrate a proven track record in working with mobile apps in an E-Commerce context.
Tech Ops: Manage technical operations, including migrations and integrations to ensure a seamless E-Commerce ecosystem.
Technical Proficiency: Exhibit an expert-level command of HTML and CSS, with intermediate knowledge of Shopify Liquid. Strong familiarity with modern integration platforms (IPAAS and SAAS) such as Air Tables, Zapier, etc., is essential. Proficiency in SQL, Google Query, and Javascript is strongly preferred.
PIM and DAM Experience: Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems is preferred.
Project Management: Demonstrate deep project management and road mapping experience to ensure efficient execution of E-Commerce initiatives.
Platform Setup: Possess platform setup experience from start to finish, including Shopify, ESPs (Email Service Providers), Meta Managers, Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and others.
Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital E-Commerce operations is required. A degree in computer science or equivalent demonstrable comparable experience is expected.
Salary range $145,000 to $165,000 - pay considerations are based on various factors unique to the candidate, including: skillset, years of experience, qualifications, certifications, and more.
