Job Description:

Threshold Visitor Management Systems, Division of Avery Products is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle of our visitor management badging, hardware and software products. The Senior Product Manager also ensures that the product strategy supports the company's overall objections and goals, and is a member of the Threshold leadership team, consisting of sales, marketing, production, and finance team leaders.

What you will be doing:
  • Develop/maintain a deep understanding of the customer experience, identifying and filling product gaps, and generating new ideas that support market trends, grow market share, improve the customer experience, and drive growth.
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit company product and service feedback.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Follow phase-gate methodology facilitating the process throughout the product life cycle, speeding up or slowing down based on the product and customer need.
  • Develop product prototypes that solve customer problems by offering them innovative product enhancements or new solutions.
  • Test prototypes to ensure products meet standards, collaborate internally to ensure operational and engineering needs are met, and facilitate customer feedback sessions and trial implementations.
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies that meet internal and external needs.
  • Drive product launches, including working with the marketing team, leadership team and impacted managers to ensure a product can be produced and fit our company objectives.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies with the leadership team, working with the marketing and sales teams to achieve product adoption and success.
  • Initiate and manage relationships with outside resources, and internally work cross-functionally with product manufacturing, finance, purchasing, sales and marketing.
  • Be a product champion to build awareness and understanding.
  • Communicate professionally both within the company and externally.
  • Liaise with all areas of the company in thought leadership to meet or exceed goals and customer needs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Product team and through cross-functional leadership.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing or a related field.
  • Broad perspective on business operations and product manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and integrate cross-functionally.
  • Strong business acumen, with sold oral, written and analytical skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate, influence and problem-solve internally and externally.
  • At least two to three years of experience in a product management or product development role.
  • Strong background in security, access control and/or visitor management a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Excellent strategic thinker with action and results orientation.
  • Experience managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its life cycle.
  • Excellent project and time management.
  • Must possess strong computer skills including proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite.
