Job Description:

Looking for people with a combination of consumer electronics and industrial equipment/automation or medical devices background.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 3 to 5 mechanical design engineers
  • Lead the design process, establish best practices and ensure the team follow the guidelines.
  • Manage the teams day to day activities.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to individuals and the team.
  • Design fixtures and electromechanical systems for internal system validation team use
  • Be an active participant in the new technology evaluation process and application in consumer wearable applications
  • Develop comprehensive system and sub-system level test specifications, manage and execute test plans, and provide feedback to development teams
  • 2D and 3D CAD modeling
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members and clients to produce high quality engineering solutions
  • Other administrative functions as required

Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in System Validation role for consumer electronics or related field
  • Previous team lead experience
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting electric, electronic, and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with Siemens NX for CAD
  • Strong written and oral communication skills the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience in technical documentation and report generation.
  • Expected to write technical reports and present at technical reviews.

  • People with a combination of consumer electronics and industrial equipment/automation or medical devices background are usually a good fit for this type of role.
  • Tool and fixture design and GD &T
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping)
  • Design and application knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards
  • Experience with panel design, motion and motor control systems, and logic controller programming, HMI, C#, Python, C, using SoC and DRY techniques is a plus
