Compensation Range: Up to $29/hr

Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Associate Project Manager assists in managing projects to ensure efficient completion within scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborating closely with various teams, this role oversees all project phases from engineering to construction, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The Associate Project Manager also aids in permit and license procurement and resource allocation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire, ensuring efficient completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with Customer Group leadership, Regulatory, and Information Technology teams.
• Manage all project stages, ensuring proper documentation and communication of project plans and results.
• Lead cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities to prevent or address challenges.
• Develop project requirements, estimate costs, identify risks, and prepare authorization documents.
• Create and review project charters, comprehensive project plans, schedules, and communications plans.
• Work with legal and enterprise risk management teams to understand regulatory environments and develop project assumptions.

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

• High degree of personal ownership and accountability.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills (written, oral, and public speaking).
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Successful track record in Project/Program Management.
• Ability to provide both strategic insight and detailed analysis.
• Strong ability to communicate complex issues clearly and simply.

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Finance, Accounting, Economics), Engineering, or related discipline required.
• Formal project management certification or completed coursework preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of project management experience required, including proficiency with project management software and methodologies.
• Preferred experience with process mapping and customer journey mapping.
• Experience in a regulated environment, particularly within the electric and gas utility industry, is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Must be available for emergency storm assignments.
• Must have reliable computer and internet access.
• Travel between MA/CT/NH may be required.
