Industrial Refrigeration Service Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Industrial Refrigeration Service Manager to lead our service team in delivering exceptional maintenance, repair, and installation services for industrial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in refrigeration systems, and a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of service technicians, ensuring high performance, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and ensure proficiency in servicing industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Manage scheduling, workload distribution, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and meet service commitments.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify opportunities for upselling services and expanding client engagements.

Service Delivery and Quality Assurance:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance, repair, and installation activities for industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify system issues, troubleshoot problems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Implement quality control measures and performance metrics to assess service delivery effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Inventory and Resource Management:
  • Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability of necessary resources for service operations.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to procure required materials and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime by efficiently managing service vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Technical Expertise and Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in refrigeration technology, and best practices in service delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to service technicians, assisting in complex troubleshooting and problem-solving scenarios.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement to enhance service efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in industrial refrigeration service management or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and CO2 based systems, HVAC systems, and associated components.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and build client relationships.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to refrigeration systems.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
