We're on the lookout for an experienced Platform Product Manager ready to take on a pivotal role in overseeing the development and improvement of our platform. In this position, you'll be at the forefront of emphasizing big-picture thinking, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and impact measurement. Your main focus will be collaborating across product teams, with third-party partners, and closely with internal stakeholders, you'll identify platform capabilities that enable all our teams to move faster.
Big-Picture Thinking: Define priorities for scalability and long-term strategic vision to ensure alignment with the company's overarching objectives and growth trajectory.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of technical concepts, including APIs, to effectively oversee the development of highly technical platform products.
Data Mapping and Integration: Design and implement data mapping and integration solutions for our platform, ensuring interoperability with multiple products such as Shopify, HubSpot, and legacy supplier systems.
Collaboration Across Product Teams and 3rd Party Partners: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across product lines and third-party partners to identify platform capabilities enabling seamless collaboration and integration across all teams.
Measurement of Impact: Establish metrics and feedback loops to quantify the impact of platform initiatives. Utilize internal feedback and usability testing to measure efficiency and time-to-market improvements for teams utilizing platform services.
Release Management: Coordinate with engineering and release management teams to plan and execute product releases, ensuring timely delivery and smooth deployment essential for the seamless operation of our platform.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to gather requirements, define user stories, and ensure a clear understanding of product objectives.
Roadmap Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on strategic goals and input from stakeholders.
Documentation: Document key discussion points, outcomes, and action items from meetings with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience as a platform product management, demonstrating a proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Expertise in APIs, infrastructure, service architecture, and scaling are essential. Proficiency in developing flow diagrams using tools such as Lucid chart & other development management tools.
Stakeholder Management: Possess excellent collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work across cross-functional teams. Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Measurement and Analytics: Experience in establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for platform products. Proficiency in utilizing analytics tools to measure and analyze the impact of platform initiatives.
Agile Environment: Demonstrated experience working in an Agile development environment, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies. Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and iterative work environment
