The Service Manager role is critical to the overall success of the business. They are the keeper of the values, the maintainer of the standards, and the leader whom everyone in the store follows. The person who will lead and manage all aspects of the store to ensure all goals are met.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manage Employees: Be the leader of the store's staff and help them meet the objectives & sales targets set forth by the company. Enforce and maintain the company's values, policies, and systems. Assist in payroll, maintain work schedules, and administer the employment practices of the company in partnership with the corporate office. Provide coaching to employees who aren't meeting standards or expectations.
  • Manage Store Work-Flow: While maintaining quality standards, maintain a balanced/efficient workflow using the company's systems such as the "workflow-board", store management software, and internal best practices. Manage technician workloads by monitoring and dispatching work in order to achieve the best possible results.
  • Sales: Perform, guide and oversee sales to hit the store's revenue goals.
  • Manage Costs: Ensure that costs are kept under control by staff in all areas of the store and find ways to reduce cost while maintaining the customer service and quality standards of the company.
  • Customer Service: Handle all customer service complaints, negative online feedback, and other customer service issues. This may include confronting and assisting frustrated customers. Prevent customer service issues whenever possible by monitoring/ensuring that all the verbal and written commitments/contracts made by staff are being honored. Provide coaching to staff regarding how to give better customer service based on observations made and/or from feedback from clients.
  • Other tasks: Allow no job to be too small or beneath oneself. Fill in on tasks as needed to maintain the flow of the store. Examples could be: running a shuttle, selling tickets, checking out customers, cleaning the bathroom, picking up a part, or any other task that can be safely completed which is needed. Any other duties as needed to drive to the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the value of this organization.

Must possess the following Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must possess a valid US Driver's License, be insurable on the store insurance policy, and possess the ability to drive a vehicle with passengers.
  • 2 years or more of practical experience working in a management role
  • Demonstrative skills in leading/managing people
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English with others verbally and in various written forms. Ability to communicate in written form both with hand-written communication and typed communication.
  • Skilled and able to perform basic accounting and math
  • Skilled in basic computer functions/programs such as: word processing, spreadsheets, email usage, calendar management, project management software, etc
