Position Title: Senior Project Estimator - Grading, Excavating, and Demolition
Location: Murrieta, California
Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our sales and project management processes. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing project requirements, developing accurate cost estimates, and cultivating strong client relationships. This position offers a base salary dependent on the bonus structure, with anticipated earnings ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 per annum before bonuses. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program negotiated with the president.
Work Environment:
This position requires on-site presence in our Murrieta office. Regular meetings with clients and establishing relationships necessitate travel to customer offices and job sites.
Project Range:
The project size will vary based on the candidate's experience and capabilities. Whether it's securing multiple smaller projects or a few larger ones, we expect our Senior Project Estimators to achieve a minimum of $5 million in annual sales.
Team Structure:
You will collaborate closely with our team of estimators, including two take-off technicians and three estimators. Additionally, you will report directly to the President, who also serves as the Senior Estimator.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in grading/horizontal civil project estimating.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in documentation and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with computerized takeoff software is preferred.
