Job Description:

I. JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision of IT departmental lead, perform entry level professional duties of moderate difficulty providing the opportunity for professional training within the Information Technology team. Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance. May perform duties such as switching laptops/computers from Windows 10 to Windows 11, shadow and complete IT Field Technician duties, and assist customers and end users with troubleshooting, application, and hardware installations. Some travel involved (10-15%).

II. DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for entry level IT project assignments.
2. Communicates with team members and employees/end users well.
3. Prepares project reports, progress summaries, statistical analysis, and related data within Microsoft Word and Excel.
4. Analyzes, generates and maintains records and other reference material necessary for departmental use.
5. Answers and makes phone calls, responds to IT related questions and sends written material as appropriate.
6. Composes, types and prints reports, general letters, spreadsheets, e-mail, and memoranda from rough drafts or general instructions, involving the assembly of data from computer and paper file or record sources.

Marginal Job Functions:

1. Other duties as assigned.
2. Shadowing of various members of the department.

III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

2. Possess aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills in technology troubleshooting
3. Possess talent and skill to organize and plan
4. Possess strong time management skills
5. Works independently and creatively
6. Display excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Education and Experience:

1. Currently be enrolled at an accredited college or university.
2. Have transportation for a small amount of travel.
3. Valid Driver's License
