Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking an IT Program Manager III in the IT Program and Portfolio Management Office, leading the Generative AI Program. The GenAI Program is committed to growing the role of AI by generating ideas across the company. The Program Manager for this role will aid in this growth by building a foundation of repeatable processes that align Agile principles with the business need.

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with IT leadership, business representatives, and project leads to define feature content

  • Drive alignment of feature content across businesses, aligning with the strategic goals of each business and the company at large

  • Overall responsible for sprint planning & sequencing - driving the decomposition from strategy to feature to user story

  • Partner with the scrum master to drive completion of sprint-level activities, identifying and removing roadblocks and negotiating dependencies across teams

  • Manage schedule and budget, working to ensure proper resource capacity to meet demand

  • Responsible for all project communication, action item management, risk identification and management

  • Responsible for keeping the project data updated on a regular basis as well as providing input as needed for senior leadership review

  • Responsible for preparing the data required for the weekly, biweekly leadership meeting by coordinating with the core team

  • Responsible for providing support to Product owners, Engineering leads for any follow ups with the business owners

  • Responsible for creating overall governance similar to existing Digital program

  • Responsible for capturing the required metrics and KPIs, required process documents to be followed in the AI program







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university

  • PMP or Scrum certification and/or other project management certification is preferred, or at least 5 years of experience with project management practices and methodologies

  • Agile experience required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • General understanding of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations

  • Financial Services experience and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

  • Analytical skills - ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommend sound decisions

  • People skills - a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflicts

  • Project management skills - ability to drive & lead meetings independently, create and execute project plans, proactively manage risks/issues, maintain compliance with company project management processes

  • Communication skills - ability to drive productive conversations, independently maintain project documentation, drive follow-up on open actions

  • Proficient in basic Google Applications (Sheets, Docs, Slides) as well as Atlassian application (Jira and Confluence)

  • Experience using Agile, Scrum AND Waterfall methodologies on projects, with heavy emphasis on Agile/SCRUM

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Very strong team player, able to foster teamwork and a positive working environment to the project team

  • People skills to be able to work with different roles and personalities

  • Ability to plan and organize work

  • Strong aptitude to learn

  • Recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information

  • Strong written and oral communications skills, an eye for detail

  • Strong collaboration & active listening skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
