The Philadelphia Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Responsibilities:


  • Instructional Leadership:

    • Develop and deliver engaging CPP curriculum content that aligns with industry standards and meets the unique needs of our diverse student population.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and skill development.

  • Career Development:

    • Provide personalized career guidance, helping students identify their strengths, interests, and potential career paths.
    • Collaborate with local employers to stay informed about industry trends and job market demands, integrating real-world insights into the curriculum.

  • Job Readiness Skills:

    • Instruct students in essential job readiness skills, including resume writing, interview techniques, workplace etiquette, and effective communication.
    • Conduct mock interviews and practical exercises to enhance students' confidence and preparedness for the workforce.

  • Technological Proficiency:

    • Integrate technology into the curriculum to ensure students are familiar with industry-relevant tools and software.
    • Provide hands-on training in computer skills, digital literacy, and other technologies applicable to their chosen career paths.

  • Collaboration and Networking:

    • Collaborate with fellow instructors, career services, and external partners to enhance the overall learning experience and expand students' access to opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and industry professionals to facilitate internships, job placements, and guest speaker engagements.

Qualifications



Post Secondary Degree (Trade, Associates, Bachelor's, Master's) Required. Must possess a valid in-state driver's license.
