Promote and provide for a safe working environment through all aspects of the facility.
Provide daily ownership and support of heat treatment processes in support of manufacturing requirements.
Drive continuous improvement of heat treat processes both conventional batch IQ and Induction fixture quench technologies.
Participate in manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering lean manufacturing activities.
Required:
General:
Strong interpersonal skills with operators, skilled trades, peers, and management. 2. Hands-on self-motivated engineer required. 3. Good written and verbal communication skills. 4. Ability to work successfully in a team-based environment. 5. Experienced in the Microsoft Office Suite of products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Technical:
Demonstrated ability to deliver productivity improvement projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Industrial experience / knowledge in the following areas is desirable: a. Conventional Batch IQ case carburizing of steel components. b. Induction heat treating automated processes. c. Manufacturing automation. (Robotics, PLCs, Pick & Place Mechanisms) d. Machine / process trouble-shooting ability.
Education & Experience:
A minimum of three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
