Title: LECTURER IN HUMAN EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY

Position Description: The Department of Human Evolutionary Biology seeks applications for a full-time position that combines undergraduate teaching responsibilities. The position is initially for one year with reappointment for additional years contingent upon successful performance and review. The target start date is July 1, 2024.

Teaching responsibilities will entail co-teaching GenEd 1056: Human Nature in Fall 2024; in Spring 2025, the individual will teach Research in Cultural Evolution. This position will also serve as as a teaching assistant for two HEB courses, to-be-determined prior to the start of the Academic Year 2024- 2025.

The successful applicant will be hired as a Teaching Assistant at 0.5 FTE and Lecturer at 0.5 FTE in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate in human evolutionary biology or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins.

Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching is desired. Applicants should be knowledgeable about human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics and have experience in experimental methods.
