Cleaning Technician Position Summary
The Cleaning Technician is responsible for performing cleaning and tumbling operations in manufacturing areas to ensure parts meet acceptable cosmetic standards. This role involves operating equipment, conducting chemical tests, maintaining machine performance, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Shift:
2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday 2:00pm to 10:00pm Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm
Responsibilities
Cleaning Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive operations and setups on passivation and cleaning lines, tumbling, and anodizing equipment.
- Conduct chemical testing, monitoring, and record-keeping as per procedures.
- Load parts into tumbling barrels and set automatic timers.
- Complete tumbling and cleaning process forms.
- Maintain machine setups with minimal supervision and perform preventative maintenance.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Neutralize and discharge waste water within acceptable levels.
- Follow work order traveler, work instructions, setup sheets, and checklists.
- Enter production information into the ERP system accurately and promptly.
- Inspect products for conformity to specifications.
- Maintain an organized work area (5S) including workstations, equipment, and walkways.
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
- Comply with company policies, safety regulations, and quality system requirements.
- Wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Support and comply with FDA, ISO, and medical device requirements.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Qualifications
Cleaning Technician Position Requirements
- Ability to read blueprints for cleaning or passivation specifications.
- Understanding of ASTM specifications.
- Previous experience in a clean room, tumbling, or related manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Cleaning Technician Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in medical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with highly regulated industries (FDA, ISO).
