POSITION SUMMARY

Targa Resources is looking for an Internal Communications Analyst to join our Human Resources team. The Internal Communications Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication within our organization and will be responsible for crafting and disseminating internal communications to all employees, including human resources-related content. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage and inform employees across field and office locations.  

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Create and distribute engaging and relevant content for various internal audiences and platforms, such as, email, Intranet, live events, leader talking points etc. 

  • Manage calendar of content and events and coordinate appropriate message timing. 

  • Ensure internal communication content is refreshed and relevant at different intervals throughout the year. 

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communication activities and channels through feedback and recommend appropriate improvements. 

  • Works with Technology team to update and enhance our internal Intranet site. Coordinates with other departments as needed to update relevant content. 

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to gather information and ensure accuracy of content. 

  • Design, develop and author Human Resources communications that are delivered to broad employee audiences to ensure employees are engaged, informed and information is acted upon if needed.  

  • Develop materials to communicate employee benefits information, including healthcare plans, retirement options, and other benefit offerings throughout the year, and during Open Enrollment including but not limited to e-mail communications, benefits guide, flyers/posters etc. 

  • Maintain a centralized repository of internal communications materials for easy reference and retrieval.

  • Partner with other functional areas to produce live virtual and in-person events that deliver engaging content to our employees, such as learning opportunities, informational sessions etc. 

  • Assists in gathering Human Resources content for annual sustainability report and coordinates with the project management team on required deliverables. 

  • Monitor feedback to assess the effectiveness of communications and recommend necessary adjustments. 

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend best practices in internal communications; partner cross-functionally to determine best methods and content for internal communication.

  • Determine appropriate methods to communicate messages and deliver relevant content to appropriate audiences. 

  • Manage internal communication projects from start to finish.  

  • Other duties and projects as assigned. 

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources or a related field required.

  • 2 – 5 years of proven experience in internal communications, or similar role.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different styles and formats for various audiences.

  • Foundational understanding of communication strategies and graphic design best practices.

  • Ability to link objectives and expectations of multiple stakeholders, to identify opportunities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative in developing communication materials.

  • Experience in video production and editing a plus.

  • High attention to detail and quality standards.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Ability to successfully execute projects with varied stakeholders and priorities.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.
