Responsibilities
Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift this includes by not limited to all cranes and tools and complete the necessary documentation. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
Introduction to the maintenance department and a general understanding of light maintenance throughout the facility.
Preforms light duty maintenance, examples include changing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patch and touch up paint and buffing of floors.
Responsible for the completion of all applicable paperwork as required for this position.
Assists with maintaining outside walk areas including sweeping and shoveling.
Responsible for general understanding of following all lockout/tag out safety procedures and other applicable safety procedures.
Keeping an inventory of cleaning supplies and requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Notify manager concerning the need for minor/major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment/tools to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Comfortable with basic computer use.
Job may require handling of or moving of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Associate needs to have a general knowledge of ISO understanding.
Education and Certifications
Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
Qualifications
Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
Must have a basic understanding of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have reading, writing and simple math skills.
Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
All electric and pneumatic power tools as necessary.
General knowledge of all shop equipment and its operation.
Safe use of ladders.
Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
