Intro and job overview:

Provide HR support to all Precisely employees in US, Canada, and Brazil (currently, approximately 1200 employees in these locations) within assigned business functions, and assist with employment issues in wider region as well as broader global HR initiatives. Business fluency in English is essential (written/spoken). We are seeking candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide HR advice and consultation, administer tools and HRIS systems, and support managers and employees on all HR policies and procedures (including but not limited to on-boarding, termination, performance management, discipline, etc.)
  • Ensure employee inquiries and employment-related issues are handled in a timely and effective manner, according to process and legal requirements, with professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality
  • Assess employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions; support deployment of appropriate training and development initiatives, including coaching and programs (in partnership with HR leadership and L&D team)
  • Promote and drive employee engagement (team action plans and follow-up)
  • Provide local support and oversight of corporate HR initiatives
  • Onboarding provide support and advice to managers, act as the point of contact for newcomers, organize induction follow-up sessions
  • Manage and implement ad hoc HR projects and programs to support overall business objectives
  • Assist on occasion with global HR issues that arise in other locations or countries (<10% of time)

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Relevant education (typically through a university degree with emphasis in Human Resources) and 5 8 years of progressive experience as an HR generalist or equivalent; professional certifications a plus
  • Experience working for a technology (ideally software) company supporting R&D and Product teams
  • Practical generalist knowledge of all functional disciplines of Human Resources Management (Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of applicable HR compliance and employment regulations in the US (additional experience with teams in Canada and/or Brazil is a plus), and expertise in resolving conflict
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive materials and information
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, an environment of respect, collaboration and teamwork
  • Proficiency in building working relationships and establishing rapport with employees and the wider Precisely team
  • Highly organized and able to manage to deadlines with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-energy environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; business fluency in written and spoken English is required
  • Ability to use Excel and other HR systems and tools proficiently, to enable business decisions backed by data
  • Experience with, and understanding of, US immigration laws and processes
  • M&A integration experience, particularly in private equity companies, a plus
