Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but is not limited to the following:



  • Operate, maintain repair and install equipment in waste treatment plant, powerhouse, water plant, HVAC and other utilities areas. Analyze mechanical or operating problems and repair or make corrective adjustments, operate equipment, run tests and maintain necessary logs and records.

  • Use standard shop equipment i.e., drill press, weld, saw, etc.

  • Work from blueprints and sketches.

  • Practice good safety habits and housekeeping.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor or manager.

  • Adhere to all local and corporate safety policies. Promote department and overall plant safety objectives.

  • Adhere to the ISO9001 standards to continually improve products and service to consistently meet customer requirements.


 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • High school graduate or GED.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Class II Arkansas Waste Water Treatment license and Boiler license from the state of Arkansas, seven years of prior industrial or service experience in waste water treatment operators including biological digesters, operations of gas or oil fired boilers, complete understanding of the refrigeration cycle, and experience in water treatment operations. The experience in Utilities should include:



  1. Repairing, maintaining and installing industrial utility equipment and systems.

  2. Installation of all kinds of piping, tubing, and conduit systems.

  3. Disability, repair and re-assemble of compressors, pumps, ran motors, and other plant equipment.

  4. Use of voltmeters, ammeters, dials indicators, levels, and other instruments to set, align, and/or trouble shoot equipment.

  5. Must be able to complete and pass 39 maintenance training/tests in 1 year.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


Must be capable of considerable walking, stair climbing, working in confined spaces, and atmospheres associated with plant systems.


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:


To perform this job successfully, employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Good attendance record, adherence to company policies and procedures, and satisfactory job performance are required to retain position and/or employment. Candidate must be able to work overtime either before or after normal starting times and on weekends.
