Research Assistant I at Nemours in Wilmington, Delaware

Job Description:

The Research Assistant (RA) conducts translational and clinical research at Nemours, in a unique scientific training environment to improve children's health. RA engages in research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. RA designs, organizes, and conducts experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures. In some cases, RA participates in designing new protocols, independently monitors results, responds to unusual outcomes/errors, and considers continuous improvements. Performs statistical analysis as needed. RA will summarize findings and work with PI to publish results in research journals. Contributes significantly to grant proposals, supports scientific operations of the laboratory, and provides guidance to research assistants, students, and junior researchers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required
• Some research experience required
