POSITION SUMMARY:

Targa Resources Corp., a midstream natural gas company, has an immediate opening for a Planner/Scheduler. A vital member of Targa’s Enterprise Asset Management central function’s leadership team, the Planner/Scheduler Lead is responsible for leading their region’s planning and scheduling team to effect excellence in Enterprise Asset Management, bringing strategic thinking and a commitment to continuous improvement to all activities. Serves as a point of escalation for any issues. Supports all business areas within the region to conduct maintenance activities which result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity. Supports Outage Planning and major outage alignment. Drives metrics reviews to inform planning and asset management. Ensures needed skill-building for the Planner/Schedulers within their region to increase EAM consistency and proficiency across the enterprise.



JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage Planner/Scheduler coverage in their region, confirming resource allocation to cover for vacations, capacity surges, outages, and region-wide demand flow.

  • Support and lead Planner/Schedulers in their region to build skills and performance, maximize efficiency and consistency, and ensure regionwide labor balances are consistent with company performance objectives.

  • Help ensure that the facilities in their region receive professional maintenance service in a timely manner to ensure high equipment availability and performance.

  • Support and resolve escalations in partnership with Area Management

  • Analyze, report, and facilitate metrics gathering and analysis to drive for accuracy and completeness, and support leadership in gleaning actional insights on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and asset performance and effective EAM.

  • Understand and be skilled in completing all aspects of the Planner/Scheduler role.

  • Supports training development, maintenance and delivery for all employees engaged in EAM in their region, working with peers in other regions and the full EAM central leadership team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Apprenticeship program or technical school background is desirable.

  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in midstream oil and gas, and specifically in industrial maintenance operations including maintenance skilled craft knowledge (i.e., pipe fitting, electrical, instrumentation, machinery, etc.)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting Planner/Scheduler activities in the management of maintenance work

  • Knowledge of midstream oil and gas, gas plants, pipelines

  • Knowledge of Maximo 7.6 Oil and Gas

  • Maximo 7.6 certification

  • Well versed in Power BI

  • Expert ability to analyze operations, read and understand asset performance metrics, read and understand labor and craft performance metrics, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Excellent PC skills and be proficient with applicable software applications.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Familiar with and or able to implement Company safety policies and procedures.

  • An excellent self-starter and able to work successfully with minimal supervision.

  • Skilled at delivering in-person trainings and engaging employees in learning EAM-related skills and abilities.

  • Effective trust building and partnership management skills.

  • Regular and reliable attendance
