Basic Job Functions:
Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:
Read and understand transmission line drawings and project specifications
Prepare accurate 3D models and corresponding erection and shop detail drawings using Autodesk Inventor and/or Bluestar PLM software
Collaborate with structural engineers to implement product design into the model and drawings
Utilize internal detailing practices and understand specific customer needs
Consistently meet project deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with teammates and customers
Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work overtime when required to meet commitments
Travel may be required but infrequent
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Degree, certification, training, and/or experience in drafting/modeling/detailing field

Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise using Autodesk Inventor software, also will consider SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or Creo experience
Competency using Bluestar PLM or PLS-CADD software
Utility structures industry experience
Experience developing and/or maintaining drafting standards or library
