Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing processes, reducing close time and ensuring completion of month-end reconciliations and quarterly reviews.

  • Directs all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger activities.

  • Manage adherence to ASC 606 revenue recognition standards for complex multiple-year contracts.

  • Manage adherence to ASC 842 lease accounting standards and ensure compliance with related reporting requirements.

  • Lead and coordinates year-end audits with external Audit and Tax firms.

  • Oversee payroll processing in coordination with HR.

  • Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to all tax laws and regulations.

  • Lead the accounting internal control environment and oversee bank audits and appraisals.

  • Direct the preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and maintenance of monthly workpapers.

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and provide financial analysis and interpretation to senior management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and drive operational efficiencies.

  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional growth.

  • Stay current with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes, implementing best practices, and recommending process improvements.

  • Demonstrate and promote the company's core values and foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and standards, with hands-on experience in financial reporting, analysis, and controls.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications; experience with ERP systems, UKG, and Certify preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple priorities.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.

  • Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements as a U.S. Person.
