Position Summary

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repair and replacement of HVAC mechanicals and refrigeration units across two properties which include multiple retail businesses, two restaurants, bakery and a hotel to support the Property Management Team. Travel required between two properties located within a four-mile radius with on-call availability for emergencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Strong troubleshooting skills with a wide range old and new HVAC and refrigeration units
Ability to install new equipment HVAC, water heaters and refrigeration equipment as needed
Design, fabricate, and install various ducts and duct fittings if necessary upon replacement of unit
Measure and cut various sizes of pipe to correct lengths with oxyacetylene torch or pipe cutting machines and saws
Use of proper tolls to measure, cut, thread or bend pipe or tubing
Ability to cut or drill holes in floor/walls for installation of equipment.
Wire and test electrical safety circuits or components for continuity.
Maintain preventative maintenance schedule on HVAC units.
Adherence to safety regulations and company policies
Performs other duties as directed by Director of Facilities

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Three to five years of experience within HVAC or refrigeration service field
Journeymen level skill set, and knowledge is required
EPA 608 Certification required
NATE (North American Core Technician) certification desired but not required
Experience with various refrigerants; 404A, 134A, R-22, 410A, R12
Valid drivers license
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
