System Administrator (LINUX and Windows)


Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced System Administrator to join our team in a classified environment. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining system health and security posture, directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities. This position is an onsite role.


Responsibilities:

Windows System Administrator:

• Administer Windows Server 2012/2019 and Windows 7/10, including enterprise-level administration of common network services (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Exchange).


• Manage patch management (WSUS), McAfee ePO, clustering, OS upgrades, computer security, and system monitoring.


• Proficiency in scripting, particularly PowerShell.


• Deploy and administer systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).


• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and troubleshoot efficiently.


• Interact effectively with external personnel on significant technical matters.

Linux System Administrator:

• Administer Oracle Linux-based systems with minimal support, including software patching, performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security patching.


• Strong command-line environment skills.


• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.


• Familiarity with scripting (Bash and Python).

Additional Job Details:

• Basic Qualifications:
  
  
  
  
  • Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required.
  
  
  • Ability to support occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support.
  
  
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  
  
  • Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) or acquire one within 30 days of start date.
  
  
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for hardware installations.
  
  
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  
  
  
  


• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  
  
  
  • Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols.
  
  
  • Proficiency in enterprise-level administration of common services (DNS, send mail, LDAP).
  
  
  • Basic network knowledge.
  
  
  • Strong analytic and research skills.
