Description: Our client is currently seeking a Speech Therapist
Position Overview: The Marple Newtown School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join their team at a Middle School. This position is available from now until June 17, 2024, with the possibility of extending into the summer as part of our Extended School Year (ESY) program. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with speech and language needs, ranging from Primary Disability of Speech to Autistic/LifeSkills Support students in grades 6-8.
Hours: 7:40 AM to 3:15 PM Monday-Friday
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech therapy services to students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Assist students in improving communication skills, articulation, fluency, and language development.
- Administer standardized tests and informal assessments as needed.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to therapy sessions.
- PA License for Speech Therapist/Pathologist - Candidates must hold a valid Pennsylvania license as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.
