Primary Function of the Position

The Project Manager, Operations will be an integral part of the COE team and operations to be accountable for implementation of COE initiatives and other operations programs. This personal will drive cross-functional and cross-Business Unit improvement initiatives on process optimization, capacity, scalability, efficiency, and digital transformation. This team member will partner in project chartering, facilitation, governance and tracking of Operations projects at Intuitive. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex project management, good knowledge of manufacturing processes, Centers of Excellence, digital transformation, project management and equipment validation process.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Driving a portfolio of operations projects within required budget, timelines and given infrastructure.

  • Adhere to project structure from inception of the project, development of project scope, success metrics, ROI, RACI, resource needs to successful completion of the project.

  • Facilitate and ensure that complex, high-value business unit projects are properly scoped, resourced and communicated to minimize risk, deliver on-time and on-budget.

  • Establish and maintain clear information flow across the organization and set up regular project status reviews.

  • Monitor creation and execution of project charters, stakeholder analyses and process maps to aid in project initiation and planning.

  • Present project updates, findings, and detailed, prioritized recommendations to sponsors and key stakeholders in a range of different formats.

  • Partner with Global Process Owners to implement system and process improvements ensuring alignment and consistency.

  • Contribute to project prioritization actions by providing data and research from current and past projects

  • Utilize corporate approved tools and implement them to empower and unencumber team members as they work to complete projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience in a scientific field.

  • 5+ years professional experience working with various stakeholders as a Project Manager.

  • Excellent Project Management skills, PMP certification preferred.

  • Knowledgeable with all stages of product or software development life cycle including: idea generation, concept development, testing, design, implementation, validation and transfer.

  • Experience in a manufacturing operations environment, medical device experience, and managing digital transformation projects.

  • Excellent communication skills including experience presenting in front of leadership.

  • Highly organized with exceptional ability to prioritize.

  • Proven ability to run, influence and work well at all levels of an organization in a cross functional team environment.

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, contending priorities simultaneously; must work well under pressure, be flexible and meet deadlines.

  • Energetic person with a drive for results, who sees accountable, has a great attitude and is a team player, self-starter with a high degree of initiative, urgency and follow through.

  • Familiarity with ISO13485:2016

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $136,500 USD - $196,500 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $116,000 USD - $167,000 USD
Shift: Day
Travel: 10% of the time
