We are looking for a motivated Radiology Technologist to join our team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive
  • Properly Position and image patients according to procedure/protocol
  • As Open sterile supplies and set up for procedures while maintaining a sterile field
  • Assist operating room staff with room turnover, patient transfer, and clean up
  • Completes and maintains appropriate radiation training and competencies
  • Assists in monitoring radiation methods that expose all staff to the least amount of exposure
  • Assists in maintaining radiological equipment and proper badge usage and storage
  • Troubleshoots problems with the C-arm
  • Maintains proper use of x-ray equipment including lead aprons
  • Documents fluoroscopy usage and correct storage and printing of images as determined by site
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:

Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed,

understand, and follow team mate guidelines, employment policies and procedures
  • Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required)
  • ARRT Certification (Required)
  • Current CA fluro license (Rad Tech)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform successfully the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English with clarity of expression sufficient to communicate technical and complex concepts of teammates, patients, and patient family members in clear and easily understandable terms required
  • Ability to understand clinical/medical vocabulary written or spoken in English required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. In general, the position requires the following physical activities:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 35 pounds un assisted; able to stand for extended periods of time and to perform repetitive stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, with some sitting; full range of body motions required to lift patients, wear a lead apron, and lift supplies
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work rapidly required
  • Ability to perform patient transfers and positioning of patients up to 200 pounds unassisted; seek assistance for any patient over 200 pounds
  • Ability to lift and move patient transport devices
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
