Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for an IP Engineer to work on a 6-month renewable contract. Our client provides services to over 26 million customers in 41 states. They are the largest cable operator in the United States by subscribers.
The IP Engineer will be responsible for the operation, administration, and maintenance of IP networks. The position is hybrid in Charlotte, NC requiring 3 days of onsite work per week. The rate is commensurate with experience but can go up to $53/hr.

Requirements for the IP Engineer:
3+ years of experience with the operation, administration, and maintenance of IP networks
Primary equipment includes Juniper MX 240s, 480s, 9600s, Alcantel 7210s, 7750s, Cisco 9k, 7k, Ciena 5171, 8180s, Adva, RAD
Ability to receive complex work packages/network designs via workflow tool, interpret the request, and execute the tasks to include
Verification of design to the network
Confirmation of material ordered to satisfy the work request
Confirmation of physical network to design to satisfy work request
Work with other teams to coordinate and complete the work request
Complete accurate impact statements and build Change Request that include a detailed MOP
Full deployment and Provisioning of various network optical elements and/or services in order to satisfy the work request
Execute complex migration activity or equipment commissioning in a maintenance window to satisfy work request
Experience with routing protocols, IP transport systems, provisioning and troubleshooting above-noted equipment with various common service configurations
Ability to self-manage multiple tasks simultaneously across various job assignments
Ability to execute above work on live customer circuits with the skillset to avoid workman-caused outages
