Job description
The selected candidate will oversee and manage a Maintenance staff in an industrial work environment.
The role
The candidate must have knowledge of:
Engineering concepts including Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems
Industrial Equipment including pumps, compressors, conveyors, and shredders
Blueprints, schematics, and diagrams including the ability to interpret them
Mobile equipment including forklifts, backhoes, and excavators
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating all Maintenance activities in conjunction with area managers
Ensuring Maintenance personnel follow all company policies including Hot Works, Confined Space Entry, LOTO, Safe Work, PPE, etc.
Interviewing and hiring Maintenance Personnel
Acquiring quotes and managing Spare Parts inventory
Developing and maintaining relationships with Contractors
Developing and ensuring Preventative Maintenance schedules are followed
Development of SOPs when applicable
Mentoring and developing new staff to meet current and future business needs
Managing maintenance activities to ensure budgets are met
The person
HS Diploma
10+ years in a Supervisory/Management role in an industrial work environment.
Effective interpersonal and written communication skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge of engineering concepts including Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems
Industrial Equipment including pumps, compressors, and conveyors
Blueprints, schematics, and diagrams including the ability to interpret them
Mobile equipment including forklifts, backhoes, and excavators
Knowledge of SAP is a plus
