Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of 'Global Offer Manager - Building Operation Services' in our EcoStruxure Building management division. The role is based in our Andover, MA, United States location.

The Digital Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides Intelligent building management solutions to help our customers create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption, and run building operations efficiently.

In this entrepreneurial position, you will lead the market research, planning, business case and incubation of new service offers, that optimize the operations for building management systems, by leveraging the advances in Artificial Intelligence, Virtualization & other Digital technologies to. Acting as the Global Offer Manager, you will lead the discovery of new business opportunities, size the market potential, identify GTM as well as operating model, build a business case, and lead the incubation. This role is a rare and coveted opportunity to define the future offers of a mature €500M+ global building services business that is going through major transformation. The ideal candidate will have a background in strategy and market research or product and offer management; with a strong orientation for innovation and creative marketing; who can work across all levels of the organization and influence key decision-makers. Prior knowledge of BMS industry, industrial services or consulting experience will be a definitive advantage in this role. The position requires strong communication, influencing and analytic skills, technical and business acumen, relationship development skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Collaboration and partnering within Schneider's global organization as well as external analyst and end-user community is critical for success.

Primary Responsibilities:

Market Analysis & Research:


  • Analyze market trends through voice of customer, sales & delivery, partners & analyst engagement

  • Analyze competitive space, consider impacts on strategic positioning and disruption opportunities

  • Deeply understand key personas & their unmet needs, workflows, value-chain for sales & delivery

  • Build requirements based on use cases that are clear, comprehensive, and prioritized

  • Establish the compelling vision and roadmap for new service offerings

Business Case Development:


  • Define new service offerings, unique value propositions, and features based on market needs

  • Build a business case based on projected revenue impact vs investment and resource mapping

  • Propose how new offers match current GTM & Operating model or define need for new/adaptations

  • Demonstrate the feasibility for Schneider to bring and sell a Unique Value Proposition

  • Support business decisions for a make or buy decisions enlisting suitable options

Collaborate with cross-functional team:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional team of commercial, product development, marketing, strategy

  • Collaborate with Technical Product team to define the R&D setup essential to build & operate

  • Engage with strategy team to map competitive landscape & scout start-ups in areas to collaborate

  • Support marketing to message & position new service offerings for thought leadership

The right candidate will be/have:


  • Proficient in market research, competitive analysis, market positioning, and segmentation

  • Subject matter expert: proven track record of developing, managing, and launching offers

  • Customer and data-oriented: apt in making business justification & cases with data & research

  • Ability to create business presentations targeting to C-level audience

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong drive to lead initiatives & collaborate

  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills

  • Multi-culture and global working experience a plus

Qualifications

Education qualifications and other desired experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus

  • 5+ years of experience successfully leading business strategy and/or developing service products

  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) and Smart Building industry a plus

  • Product management skills - pricing, market and competitive analysis, strategic planning

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

  • Strong leadership, project planning and execution skills
