Sr. Equipment Operator Cloverdale Utility
Applications are now being accepted for a Senior Equipment Operator on the Cloverdale Utility
Crew. Starting wage is $24.20 - $27.80 per hour/DOQ. ACHD offers an excellent benefit package with

Primary Responsibilities:
Under general supervision of the Utility Crew Chief, the primary duties of this position are to
perform skilled work in the operation of specialized heavy equipment for District construction
and maintenance activities.
The crew performs a variety of heavy manual workfrom cleaning ditches, fixing cave-ins, and
laying pipe to installing concrete in connection with the maintenance and construction of
curb, gutter, sidewalks, streets, storm drains, concrete structures, fabrication/welding in the
field and shop, and traffic control facilities. Also responsible for installation and maintenance
of bridges and guardrails.
The Sr. Equipment Operator will be assigned between crews depending on the maintenance
needs of the Cloverdale and/or Adams locations.
Winter operations are an essential function, and may require the employee to work outside of
normal work hours.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess strong mentorship skills with the ability to work independently in
facilitating a crew to accomplish District maintenance activities.
Must have a current Idaho Class A CDL license. If license is from another state, must be able
to obtain an Idaho CDL by start of employment. Must obtain a tanker endorsement within 30
days of employment.
Must have progressively responsible experience in the operation of a variety of specialized
heavy construction and maintenance equipment.
Requires the ability to put materials into grade, read grade and slope stakes, use lasers or
instruments to set grade stakes, excavate accurately using cut stakes and survey markers, lay
pipe to grade according to blueprints or plans, and figure correct percentage of slope without
plans.
The Sr. Equipment Operator must certify in three different pieces of equipment that are used
to build and maintain roadway and drainage facilities, such as backhoe, excavator, skid steer,
or motor grader.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Strong work ethic is required.

skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
