(Contingent upon available funding): 17.00 - 21.00, Hourly Work Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm, nights and weekends as needed Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Assist Field Superintendents in overseeing all aspects of maintenance and upkeep of fields and grounds as well as all associated equipment. Operate equipment including but not limited to rotary mowers, tractors, aerifiers, gators, chain saws, blowers, paint machine, and topdresser. Will be required to work all areas of the Athletic Village as directed by the Athletic Field Superintendent.
Will be required to work in inclement weather. Will be required to work hours beyond normal 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday hours, including weekends.Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain a cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbent's salary includes compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School/GED

Valid driver's license.

Obtain within 6 months after hire: Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry's Pesticide Applicator License.

Knowledge in the safe mechanical operation and calibration of mechanical equipment, hand operated as well as pressurized spray equipment, lawn mowers, weed-eaters, utility tractors.

 Knowledge of aerating, verticutting, sweeping, topdressing fertilization and irrigation repair.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the workplace.

Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
