The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology Professional Development is a national industry education and training resource center focused on providing engineering and technology-based professional development, training and certification responsive to industry needs. Professional Development is a key partner within the newly-launched Great Plains Center of Excellence to provide top-notch training and educational opportunities for a 13-state region, providing education and outreach support to currently established Industrial Assessment Centers and developing IAC programs.The Program Coordinator is housed within Professional Development in collaboration with the Great Plains Center of Excellence (GPCoE) and is responsible for coordinating programs and operations for partnership, professional education, and training programs for the Great Plains Center of Excellence. The Program Coordinator serves as key personnel among department leadership, instructors, clients, and stakeholders to develop coordinate quality training, symposium, workshop and webinar programs and partnerships. The Program Coordinator will:
Plan and coordinate GPCoE training and outreach programs and their activities. Monitor implementation of program policies and practices, ensuring programs align with Department of Energy objectives and goals. Ensure programs are on schedule and within budget. Determine the use of technology for program operations, including video conferencing, presentation software and other communication technologies. Create and maintain program records, reports, presentations and proposals per DOE and university requirements. Coordinate interactions and relationships between GPCoE directors, assistant directors, faculty and staff, clients and program stakeholders. Provide logistical support for training, webinar, and conferences including site location or technology support. Oversee the creation of training, conference and symposia marketing materials and coordinating content and distribution with CEAT Marketing and GPCoE marketing and design teams.
In-state and out of state travel with occasional overnight stays is expected. This position is grant funded and continuation of employment is dependent upon funding availability. Lifting of 30 lbs. to transport materials as needed for conferences, trainings and workshops.

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree


One year of related professional work experience. Valid driver's license. Demonstrated proficiency in coordinating activities and events. Ability to prioritize and complete tasks. General knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes. 



Preferred Qualifications: 


Bachelor's degree in business, education/educational technology, or STEM related.


Three years of related professional work experience. One year of experience in coordinating hybrid and online delivery training courses. One year of experience in organizing conferences and symposiums. Experience with utilizing technology effectively in training/education environments.


Proficiency in coordinating programs and activities in a university setting. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff to successfully deliver training and conference events.
