Position Summary: The Project Management Senior Consultant is a leadership role serving the departments of Medical Information Management and Revenue Cycle Operations with responsibilities that include operational preparedness, staffing, and workflow redesign. The purpose of this role also extends to support health system clinical initiatives and works across the organization to reach consensus, facilitating dialogue across teams or departments on difficult, complex, sensitive, time-sensitive matters. Monitors project status and recommends course corrections to schedule, resources, or cost. Supports projects from multiple disciplines.
Scope of Position: Under the direction of the Chief Revenue Officer, this position works in close alignment with Medical Information Management and Revenue Cycle Operations. The Sr. Project Manager will plan, develop, and implement strategic initiatives that will drive towards metrics, external benchmarks, and service line agreements among departments. This position will evaluate current processes, investigate, and identify root causes, recommend change management, and assist with implementation of lean workflows that will improve clean claim rate, minimize claim rejections and denials, and work towards achievements in Epic financial and automation pulse. Works directly with leadership and management of these areas to develop projects, programs and implement system changes that promote clinical and operational efficiency across the health system.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Administration or equivalent degree required. Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator required. Eight years of relevant industry experience required in large scale project management, health information management and/or revenue cycle operations.
