Job Description:

We are looking for a full time Diabetes Educator (Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse) who has a passion for providing education and training for diabetes patients!

Responsibilities include: providing individualized diabetes self-management education/training, initial and comprehensive skills training, planning, education, and self-management care to patients and family members with diabetes and other medical nutrition diagnoses. In this role , you will work in conjunction with diabetes program coordinator to perform DSME program education, integrate nutrition plans into treatment plans, and perform individualized follow-up with program participants. Pay range: new hires generally start between $40.60-$58.00/hour and placement in the range is based on evaluation of qualifications and professional experience.

Requirements:


  • WA State certification as a Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse (RN) required

  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE) required

  • For dietitians: Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required

  • Current CPR certification required

  • At least 1 year of experience providing diabetes care and education in an ambulatory care setting preferred

Pay Range:
$39.83 - $59.75

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
