About the Opportunity:
An established general contractor on the West Coast is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to play a critical role in their project success. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects throughout the San Diego area. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets.
Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, utilizing industry-standard software.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to gain a thorough understanding of project scope and requirements.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates reflect project goals and address potential challenges.
Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Track and manage project budgets throughout the construction lifecycle.
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors in the San Diego market.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of success in the San Diego market.
Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in construction estimating software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Valid California driver's license.
