Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize savings opportunities.
  • Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
  • Analyze financial data and documents to identify tax implications and recommend strategies for optimizing tax positions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address tax-related inquiries, provide guidance, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax audits, examinations, and other regulatory inquiries.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations to provide proactive advice and recommendations to clients.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
  • 1-5 years of relevant work experience in tax accounting or public accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in tax preparation and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues professionally.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
