Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns accurately and efficiently.
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize savings opportunities.
Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Analyze financial data and documents to identify tax implications and recommend strategies for optimizing tax positions.
Communicate effectively with clients to address tax-related inquiries, provide guidance, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax audits, examinations, and other regulatory inquiries.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations to provide proactive advice and recommendations to clients.
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
1-5 years of relevant work experience in tax accounting or public accounting firm.
Strong understanding of tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in tax preparation and documentation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues professionally.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
