LHH is currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Accountant/Analyst on the corporate side. This is an excellent company we have worked with for many years. This is a great opportunity to join a smaller tax team, wonderful manager and company. Will be a blend of both direct and in-direct tax areas. Great opportunity for someone who is stronger in one area and would like to learn the other side of corporate tax. Client will also look at strong tax candidates coming directly out of the public world to make the transition to corporate tax.
This position will be hybrid (flexible schedule) so someone would need to be local to the Portland metro area. NO fully remote need to apply!
Overall Job Responsibilities: • Work provision/calculations, depreciation schedules, quarterly estimates, c-corps, partnerships and individuals - OR, CA, WA, NV, AZ, SD, IW, MB, ID • Research areas for federal excise, sales/use laws, and various statutory filings • Direct tax / Indirect research, writing memos - will have a blend of both the direct and in-direct tax areas • Reviewing work for meeting deadlines on time • Tax strategy and analysis • Will have some GL, reconciliations, B/S variances • Review work of the tax clerk, helping to prioritize work • Involved with audit areas as needed • Outsource CPA prepares tax returns - Moss Adams
Ideal Background: • Bachelor's - Accounting or related area; CPA a plus • 5+ years tax experience - will look at strong candidates coming out of public tax • Wants someone looking for growth, who can "own the role", drive efficiencies, be a self-starter and doesn't need much handholding; good problem solving skills and strategy • Would like someone with experience in both areas of tax but open if someone is stronger on either side and can pick up the other area • Team oriented, understands deadlines and work together to meet them • Good communications throughout the department, management and staff/company overall
Salary = $95k-$105k base
