Job Description:

We are searching for an experienced Assembler at our Keene facility.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Primary Responsibility: The Assembler's primary objective is to assemble air shafts, components and/or accessories with attention to detail and accuracy, using the engineering packet to achieve first pass quality.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assemble shafts, components, parts and accessories from both purchased and manufactured parts.
  • Reads engineering packets, schematics to ensure accuracy
  • Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Complete inspection and records results on required inspection documents (i.e., Shaft Inspection Report, Quality Audit Report, etc)
  • Maintains equipment and hand tools to ensure serviceability
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervision
General Responsibilities
Quality at the Source: It is the responsibility of each individual working in manufacturing to confirm the grade and type of material are correct per engineering documentation and that the raw material is dimensionally correct and free from damage prior to beginning work at their station. If discrepancies are identified it is again the responsibility of every individual to bring those discrepancies to the attention of their supervisor or QA personnel at the time that the issue is identified.

Each operator is responsible to confirm dimensional accuracy of every work-piece prior to delivering that material to the next sequential operation. This includes the use of calipers, micrometers, bore micrometers, and any other specialized tools required to confirm that the work-piece meets the intent of the engineering documentation. If discrepancies are identified it is again the responsibility of every individual to bring those discrepancies to the attention of their supervisor or QA personnel at the time that the issue is identified and work with those individuals to clarify ambiguity or identify root cause of the discrepancy. It is the responsibility of every individual to check the routing prior to delivering material to their internal customer. That material is expected to be clean, free of chips, excess coolant, and sharp edges.

It is the responsibility of each individual working in manufacturing to leave their work area clean and organized for use by the next individual or shift. If a reasonable standard is not met it is again the responsibility of every individual to bring those discrepancies to the attention of their supervisor.

Education/Experience
Required Qualifications:
  • High school education, with six months experience desired in a mechanical field or trade school/machine shop education.
  • Requires the understanding of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments.
  • Computer literacy required.
Physical Requirements
  • This is an on-site position located in Keene, NH
  • This is a 2nd or 3rd shift opportunity.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and walk 8-10 hours a day
  • Strenuous position requiring continuous reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, hand/finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, and occasional stooping, crouching, and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to exert up to 35 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. of force frequently and 10 lbs. of force constantly to move product.
  • Work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment - noise, dust, odors
  • Able to wear prescribed personal protective equipment - safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Good, corrected vision, depth perception, and field of vision. Prescription safety glasses may be required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required
Working Conditions
  • Excessive noise and dust of a typical machine shop atmosphere.
  • Equipment moving hazard of forklifts, transportation vehicles, and moving product.
  • Significant work pace and possible change in work schedule on short notice.
