JOB SUMMARY: The Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services to individuals presenting at the outpatient clinic. Provide Crisis services in the community as needed. The MH Therapist- Mobile- Crisis will provide clinical services to adults on-site at the clinic and offer crisis services in-home and in the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with clients and their families on treatment adherence issues with medications and maintaining appointments
Conducts assessment/reassessments of client service needs and priorities every 90 days.
Develops (in conjunction with client) appropriate treatment plans based on assessment.
Case conferencing with mental health providers to determine goals/objectives, activities and who will perform needed tasks related to mental health issues for client and family
Collaborative and concurrent documentation required
Provide individual/group therapy
Administer appropriate behavioral interventions as needed (CBT, Seeking Safety, motivational interviewing etc.)
Maintains accurate and up-dated records in accordance with the programs policies and procedures.
Crisis intervention (aggressive behavior; suicide threats, ideation; domestic violence) work with clients who are experiencing domestic violence (DV) or have a history of DV, and/or who have co-occurring mental illness, life trauma or chronic conditions and/or substance abuse issues)
Other related duties
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Strong individual and group counseling skills. (Clinical internships provided to similar population can be counted towards the post graduate experience- if it can be documented.)
Working experience in best practices-Motivational Interviewing etc. Excellent writing and communication skills'
EDUCATION:
MINIMUM: Master's in Social Work or related field (Required)
