KLR is a Top 100 Accounting Firm and one of the fastest growing professional services firms in New England. Due to growth, we are seeking a Tax Manager to join our Enterprise Solutions Group, out of any of our offices in Massachusetts or Rhode Island, on a flexible hybrid basis.
Responsibilities
Act as the key client contact for assigned engagements.
Perform reviews and compilation engagements for various industries.
Prepare federal, and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
Perform tax planning for clients for year-end, including tax provisions, projections, and extensions.
Act as a resource for less experienced associates and team members. Delegate work and supervise staff to meet deadlines as well as other metrics.
Prepare bills and discuss fees with assigned clients.
Establish good working relationships with all Partners, Managers and staff members.
Assist with special projects and manage various tasks at hand
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Master's degree, CPA/EA license or active pursuit of higher education or credentials is highly preferred
6+ years of experience in public accounting, managerial experience highly preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess a strong working knowledge of Profx Tax; Profx Engagement; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word; and QuickBooks
Knowledge of BNA Tax, and Profx Fixed Assets preferred, but training is available
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet stated deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment and exercise sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
