Overview Under the guidance of engineering and/or qualified Systems Technician, train to proficiently assemble mechanical and electronic systems used in In-Line Inspection (ILI) equipment by following proper electrical and mechanical principles and practices using electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, software, and appropriate tools.
Responsibilities ILI Tool Component Maintenance (50%):
Assists in the development, assembly, and testing of new design ILI tools and equipment
Modifies electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deficiencies by fabricating or modifying parts, utilizing available tools and materials,
Utilizes mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to prepare and assemble electro/mechanical parts,
Modifies, maintains/repairs, and upgrades ILI tools and equipment prior to field deployment, in accordance with established assembly and configuration procedures detailed for engineering test and/or customer requirements,
Utilizes appropriate forms and software to document new build, maintenance/repair, and upgrade histories of ILI equipment and sub-assemblies;
Continuous Improvement (50%):
Acquires fundamentals associated with building, repairing, and maintaining TDW ILI Tool components,
Develops and applies the ability to implement approved safety procedures to ensure the personal safety of all parties involved,
Develops ability to respond to customer requirements (internal and external) and address problem-solving aspects of all TDW ILI Systems Technician tasks,
Develops the required experience, skill, and behavior competencies to become a TDW Systems Technician
Experience
Associate Degree in Electronics, or applicable experience,
Basic understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within Electronic Technology,
General understanding of electronic digital and analog circuits and hardware, firmware and software used in data logging applications,
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices using schematics and drawings.
