Join a leading lender North of Boston, who is seeking a Controller to manage all accounting and financial reporting functions. This newly created role signifies a shift from outsourced accounting to an in-house model, emphasizing the company's commitment to growth and efficiency.
Responsibilities: The Controller will oversee daily accounting operations, including accrual accounting and bank reporting. They will conduct field exams twice a year, liaise with auditors and tax professionals, and manage budgeting and forecasting. Additionally, the Controller will spearhead the implementation of new software systems.
Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally within a service-oriented company. Strong communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with CPA certification or a background in process-oriented roles.
