Excellent career opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, global manufacturing organization. In this newly established position, the Senior / Lead Revenue Accounting Analyst serves as a key pillar within the Controllership group through accurate and timely financial reporting of multiple revenue streams while ensuring business continuity. As a direct report to the Controller, you'll have ownership and accountability for the plant's revenue recognition processes, policies, and will drive a variety of improvement initiatives including insights development, intelligent reporting, and automation.
Support leadership teams in the review of sales agreements, contracts, and assess revenue recognition impact
Identify and understand performance obligations associated with revenue recognition
Calculate and publish month-end revenue recognition including proper back-up documentation
Partner with corporate controlling and internal audit in the management of financial accounting policies and procedures related to revenue recognition and internal controls for the site
Review current revenue recognition processes/procedures and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and timeliness of the close and reporting
Complete required ASC 606 check list for all new sales agreements/contracts
Complete assigned month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
Ensures accuracy of accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies and procedures
Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
Assist in month-end reporting and ad hoc analysis
Qualifications, skills, and experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5-7 years of relatable experience within SOX compliant organizations
Fluent in GAAP/ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
CPA, MBA or MS/MA preferred
Advanced ability to gather, monitor, and synthesize financial data
