Our platform makes it simple to configure, deploy, and maintain LLM retrieval systems connected to customer data and action sets. Our customers leverage Pointable to develop task-completing chat agents and behind-the-scenes document processing workflows without getting lost in implementation details or a pile of half-baked developer tools. By leveraging our combined decades of experience building natural language processing systems, our platform allows customers to think about data sources and desired capabilities rather than implementation details. Pointable is serving enterprise customers as we continue developing our platform to make it increasingly simple to define and manage reliable, factually-accurate RAG-LLM systems.

About the Job

We're seeking a founding go-to-market hire to build a scalable GTM strategy while growing our early customers and building a robust sales pipeline in the most exciting moment for enterprise AI tools. Pointable is working with a cohort of early customers to develop our tools. You will play a key role in expanding our existing customer relationships while helping to scale up our founder-led sales efforts thus far. You'll need to be comfortable working with a technical audience and our product team as you'll be the main point of contact for sales and expansions - regularly interacting with our customer's technology and engineering teams. If you're passionate about pushing the boundaries of RAG and LLM technologies to build reliable language AI systems, we invite you to be a driving force in our exciting journey. Our founding team has a unique mix of research, teaching, and industry connections, which you can leverage as you work closely with our founders to design and execute our GTM strategy.

We offer competitive salary and equity compensation. We are building a hybrid culture and work from South Bay 1-2 days per week.

What you'll do
  • Execute the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, proof of concept scoping, and account management
  • Refine ideal customer profile and build segment-specific outbound strategies
  • Articulate and demonstrate Pointable's value proposition to business and technical audiences by developing sales materials and guiding customer conversations
  • Orchestrate work with internal and external teams cross-functionally to deliver initial customer implementations and expand to new use cases
  • Develop pricing strategies and drive successful negotiations for initial pilots and conversions to ongoing licensing
  • Cultivate client satisfaction through continued partnerships and growth with detail-oriented account planning and professional communications
  • Test and identify the most effective messaging and product positioning across a variety of customers and industries
  • Define a sales team growth and hiring strategy to increase sales volume and velocity over time
  • Work closely with the founders to position Pointable as a thought leader in AI/ML and LLM space

What you'll have
  • 5+ years of sales experience: from outbound prospecting and lead generation all the way through to demos and closing deals
  • Experience defining requirements and working with engineering teams to shape product roadmap based on market feedback
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals consistently
  • Experience with early B2B startup GTM strategy for data-driven products or infrastructure tools - including sales execution, pricing strategy, and product positioning
  • Comfortable navigating large enterprise sales with multiple decision-makers - including both technical and business-oriented stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, clear meeting management and customer presentations - executive presence, polish, and excellent listening skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. Strong sense of ownership, high level of motivation to succeed, and adaptability to high-growth, fast-paced environments, especially in the market creation sales phase
